Dr. Devon Pletcher was born and raised in Vancouver and has always been interested in science and animal care. During high school Devon began to volunteer at Burrard Animal Hospital and once starting veterinary school continued to work there during holidays and school breaks. While at veterinary school Dr. Pletcher found interest in oncology, emergency medicine and client communication. Dr. Pletcher graduated from Royal Veterinary College in London, England and hurried home back to the West Coast to work again at Burrard as well as at its sister clinic Oak Animal Hospital.
Devon is an avid Dungeons and Dragons player, resin crafter and enjoys visiting Tofino for a surfing adventure every summer. Currently working on rehabilitating a lovebird rescued through the SPCA, Dr. Pletcher looks forward to adding plenty more animals to their menagerie in the coming years.
